So we´re now at an orphanage in a different town in the Andes, nearer to the coast. I´ve found it to be less pretty and more work, but I really enjoy it! There are 35 orphans (the majority under 12 years old) and five nuns. Incidentially, their behavior is...well, remember those kids from English camp? Ya. Like that. Wonderfully chaoitic.
Our first dinner here consisted in a barage of questions- What´s your dad´s name? Why are your hands so white? Is your whole body white? Do you know any majic tricks? Do they have calanders in the US? Do the grammas in the US wear skirts? etc etc
So far we´ve done a lot of painting, re-arranging, child-wrangling and such. It´s everything a challenge should be- difficult but somehow enjoyable. Know that you all are in my prayers and please keep us in your´s!
Merry Christmas a little early.
