"Found Space"

Poem fragments
1/26/14, 1/27/14

"Found Space"
To Theatre

I thought I was waiting in the wings
For act 2, scene 3, enter left
I’ll know the cue when I hear it

Prop check
Got it! A pen. Oh.
And a book of Italian verbs

They’re taking a Pinter pause out there
(Apparently its one of thoooose)
Its fine, I’ll doodle. Jot, scribble.

Surprising fragments
A space in which mystery finds substance
From silence emerges new voice

Tiny parcels in newspaper
holding chocolate coins I’m shy to relinquish
even to friends at first
But they’re the only currency I’m left with

And so I realize
and so I realize!
I can still give beauty

Alms for the poor
Which make both parties rich

Ok, project to the back
I’ll speak from the diaphragm which encases the heart
And stand on my skeleton
Renewed.
